Glendale Community

Glendale is located about 9 miles northwest of downtown Phoenix. According to the 2020 census, the population is 254,500. It is the 7th largest city in Arizona.  Spread across over 60 square miles there is a variety of housing, entertainment, eateries, and events to choose from.

Historic downtown Glendale is actually two neighborhoods - Historic Catlin Court has many bungalows-turned-specialty shops and Old Towne boasts brick sidewalks and glowing gaslights that lead you around the famous antique stores and eateries.

Just northwest of downtown Glendale you will find the Westgate Entertainment District. Westgate is a bustling complex with casual restaurants and sports bars, plus open-air shopping at specialty stores. In the same parking lot you will find Tanger Outlets, which offers numerous designer outlet stores.  Westgate is also home to the NHL Arizona Coyotes and the NFL Arizona Cardinals.  These arenas also bring concerts and other events to the area. Across the street from Westgate you can enjoy some gambling at Desert Diamond Casino which hosts restaurants as well.

The north part of Glendale is referred to as Arrowhead. Arrowhead Ranch is a large community of homes that offer beautiful neighborhoods some of which back to a golf course or a lake. Arrowhead Towne Centre is the area shopping mall. You can find plenty of shops and restaurants in the area as well. 

The City of Glendale is served by Glendale Elementary Unified School Districts, which includes 18 schools and Deer Valley Unified School District, which includes 30 schools. Glendale Union High School District serves part of Glendale and includes 9 high schools. Deer Valley Unified School District includes another 4 high schools. There are charter schools and private schools available as well.
