Surrounded by mountains, lakes, golf courses, and desert landscapes, Goodyear is a scenic city located about 30 minutes west of downtown Phoenix. It was named after Charles Goodyear, the founder of Goodyear Tires. This is the home to the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians Spring Training. Goodyear has seen significant growth over the past 20 years with a good mix of families, young professionals and retirees taking advantage of the reasonably priced real estate and excellent amenities.

Goodyear Community

The city of Goodyear was founded in 1917 and named after Charles Goodyear, the founder of Goodyear Tires. Goodyear is surrounded by desert vistas, golf courses, lakes, parks, palm-lined streets and scenic mountain views of Sierra Estrella and White Tank Mountains. It is conveniently located just 16 miles west of downtown Phoenix.

Goodyear residents are served by four elementary school districts (Avondale, Liberty, Litchfield and Mobile), two high school districts (Agua Fria Union and Buckeye Union) and several charter schools.

There are 17 beautiful parks for residents to enjoy located throughout neighborhoods.  The parks include a variety of amenities, including a skate park, splash pad, dog park, BMX and pump tracks as well as numerous athletic fields, courts and open grass areas. During Spring Training you can watch the Cleveland Indians or the Cincinnati Reds at the Goodyear Ballpark.
