Peoria Information

Peoria is a beautiful city located northwest of the Phoenix metropolitan area.  It was named after the city of Peoria in Illinois. Peoria is currently the sixth-largest city in Arizona for land area and the ninth-largest for population.

With the size of Peoria, there are over 30 parks and 20 miles of trails to enjoy. Peoria has 3 larger Community Parks that offer more amenities, such as ball fields, splash pads, picnic areas, fishing, etc.  These are Rio Vista Park, conveniently located off the 101/Thunderbird Rd, Pioneer Park near 83rd Ave/Olive and the newest Paloma Park located in North Peoria near Lake Pleasant Parkway/303. The City of Peoria hosts many events every year, including an Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July festivities, annual Holiday Festival, annual Greekfest, and more.

Lake Pleasant is a popular place to visit in Peoria.  If you don’t own a boat, you can rent one. You can also rent kayaks, paddleboards and jet skis.

Peoria really comes alive during Spring Training season. The Peoria sports complex is home to the San Diego Padres and the Seattle Mariners. If baseball isn’t your favorite, we are located close to the Arizona Cardinals Stadium and the Arizona Coyotes Arena. 

Peoria has all the conveniences of shopping and restaurants as well. Arrowhead Towne Center is our local mall which is surrounded by other shopping centers and a variety of restaurants. There’s a little something for everyone's needs in Peoria.
